How would you cope if, apart from sweating profusely, you also had to live with the knowledge that others could easily detect your body odor? What if you had no way to control the powerful odor that your body constantly emitted? How would you cope? For many, the only answer would be to remain behind locked doors. Sadly, this is something that many people struggle with every day. Excessive sweating and body odor are a daily reality for these people. The treatments we'll be discussing below may help you overcome this condition.

Find a good antiperspirant or deodorant. If excessive sweat is your problem you will want to go with an antiperspirant. This is on account of this item assisting in the reduction the amount of sweating you do.

It obstructs the sweat glands that are under its application. If you struggle more with unpleasant body odor, you will want to find a good deodorant. This product helps disguise the unpleasantness of body odor with a better smelling substance. You'll have to investigate different products, but at some point you'll come across something that works for you. Consult your physician if none of the over the counter merchandise is working for you.

Believe it or not, some people swear by the application of baking soda to particularly sweaty areas of their body. We haven't actually tested this out but the reasoning behind it is sound. Baking soda is often used to absorb moisture and cut down on odors.

This is the reason many people keep an open box of it in their refrigerator. It makes sense that it might work on people for the same thing. You don't want to use a bunch of the stuff, although, a little dusting definitely won't hurt.

After you have dried off your skin after your shower or bath, apply some talcum powder to the areas that sweat the most on your body. Many often feel a bit like and infant when powdering this way. It is a fact that talcum powder has the power to absorb much of the odor caused by your sweat. You should focus your powdering skills on those areas that sweat the most to help absorb excess sweat and stop that stinky smell. As you may know there are a number of scented talcum powders that can be used in place of perfumes or other body sprays. Everyone greatly dislikes sweat.
